The Ghent was the work by Jan Van Eyck which dates around 1425-32. The medium is oil painting and the subject is religious history. It belongs from the period of Northern Renaissance. It is one of the cornerstones of the period. This particular artwork is full of color and has variety from landscapes to nudes to kings. This altarpiece was commissioned by a wealthy businessman for his personal chapel. It can be opened and kept closed as well. When kept closed it is a representation of Annunciation. When it is closed not much color is visible but as soon as it is opened, one can easily see vibrant color mainly red and green.
